(note:
i have decided to retake chinese after all.
lol.
decided to give myself another go
at that paper,
which will be held in september.
wish me good luck.)
the EPL season is going to start
in a few weeks time,
and the Big 5 will most probably start
their title chase straightaway in their first match.
i am quite worried for man u these days;
they have only recruited 2 new guys currently,
and talks of buying Owen Hargreaves
from Bayern Munich have been stalled
after Munich refused to let their world cup star go.
W Rooney and P Scholes will serve 3 matches ban each,
and with M Carrick out for at least another 2 weeks,
the future looks bleak.
and if i am fergie,
i will be most anxious over the midfield pairing;
Carrick is supposed to partner Scholes
to form a formidable English partnership,
but with both of them out,
I will probably tinker around with these pairings.
1) D Fletcher and R Giggs
comment: Fletcher played superbly well during a
match last season in a central role,
and he even provided a long pass to van Nistelrooy to slot home.
however,
he looks subdued at times and
that might be worrying.
2) O'Shea and R Giggs
comment: this is probably the pairing Fergie
will choose,
as O'Shea forged a good partnership With Giggs
during the latter stages of the season.
with O'Shea covering the back four,
it will allow Giggs to roam forward without any worries.
3) Park and O'Shea (recommended)
comment: S Koreans rule!
lol.
anyway,
Park has played in almost every position (except the GK, of course)
during his days at PSV,
and he played really well in the centre midfield.
his energetic runs from the centre should
cause defences problems,
and although he lacks the long-range
shooting ability which is so often
associated with Scholes,
his stamina and charisma
should compensate for that.
united's defence will be as strong as ever-
an irony consider the fact that they were struggling
in the 03/04 season when they lost Ferdinand to suspension.
and that comes to the attack.
van Nistelrooy had left for R Madrid,
and L Saha should partner W Rooney
in the attack.
critics have blasted Fergie for not getting
a world-class striker to replace van,
most notably F Torres,
but why not give Saha a chance?
His physical game should fit Rooney very well,
and with three other strikers in reserves,
why bother to get more strikers?
okay,
my report ends here liao.
let the season begin.
