what a month
for both the political
and football side.
political:
who would have thought that
the majority of the residents
will not take the big carrot dangling
in front of their faces and vote
for their all-time hero instead?
and kudos to
Ms Sylvia Lim
for having sportsmanship
after graciously congratulating
her opponent.
she even did a terminator-style,
"I'll be back."
how cool is that.
football:
okay.
eriksson is mad.
and anyone would have
thought so after knowing
the england squad that
he had picked recently.
being traditionally aware
to pick experience
rather than youth,
he stunned the whole nation
by picking Aaron Lennon
and Theo Walcott
instead of the capped Jermaine Defoe
and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
i am okay with Lennon;
his pace can be an extra weapon
down the flanks for england,
but Walcott?
man, eriksson MUST be mad.
walcott is only 17 this year,
(only one year older than me)
has no experience in europe,
(not even in the EPL),
and erik just chose him
after watching him practise
during a training session.
siao la.
how can?
i am still scratching
my head this very moment,
and thinking about this.
maybe erik wants to give him some
experience of playing in a big event.
maybe.
but whatever it is,
it better be good.
otherwise eriksson's decision
will be deemed as one of
the greatest folly of all times.
